Register Rewards
- Walgreens has a program called Register Rewards. It is like an instant rebate. On specified products you will recieve a coupon printed out with you reciept for a specified amount to use only at Walgreens on your next order. For example, week there was buy Cheeze-its 2/$5 and get $3 in Register Rewards. Walgreens has different offers every week and often some that run all month, these are usually shown in the Walgreens monthly coupon book.
- If the Ad specifies "limit 1 coupon printed per offer", you will need to ring items up separately if you want more than one. This also means all offers for that particular brand. For instance, one week Walgreens had in there ad, buy 2/$5 get $3 Register Rewards on Cheeze-it's, Keebler Cookies, Rice Krispies Treats and Kellogg's cereal. Since all these products are all from kelloggs, they are all considered the same offer. If the ad does not specify a limit, you can get as many Register Rewards print outs as you have purchases.
- If you use your Register Rewards coupon to buy a like item you will not receive another Register Rewards printed out. So, using the above example, if you use the Register Rewards you received when you bought 2 boxes of Cheeze-its to by more Cheeze-it's, Keebler Cookies, Rice Krispies Treats, or Kellogg's cereal, you will not have another Register Rewards print out.
- Register Rewards expires in two weeks from the date printed, so make sure you shop Walgreens at least every 2 weeks.
General Coupon Policies
- Walgreens has a 1 coupon per item policy. If you use six coupons (Register Rewards are considered a coupon), you must purchase six items. You can use filler items to fulfill this, such as cheap pencils or the $0.33 caramels at the front register.
- Walgreens will not honor your coupons if they equal more then the total order. For example, if you have $6 in coupons, the total order must be at least $6 before tax.
- Buy One Get One Free (BOGO) - If Walgreens has an item on a BOGO sale and you have BOGO coupon for the same item, Walgreens allows you to use both and get two for free. If Walgreens has an on BOGO and you have a coupon that say $off 2. Walgreens will accept you coupon. Also if you have 2 coupons for a BOGO item you can use both coupons. The same policy covers the Buy One, Get One 50% off, only difference is if you have a BOGO coupon, you get 2 for 50% off. Just make sure the total sale exceeds the total amount in coupons.
- Walgreens in-store coupons - Walgreens have in-store coupons in both their weekly ad and in a monthly coupon book available at the store. There is no need to cut out these coupons. Often the Cashier will automatically scan the coupon, if they do not, just show them the coupon from the paper or book and have the person scan it. Also, you only need one coupon. The register will automatically take off the proper amount. For instance, if the coupon states $1/1 and you buy ten, the the register will automatically take $10 off your order.
Coupon Courtesy
- If you have multiple orders, use the cosmetic counter to purchase your orders. They have less customers there and know more about the coupons and Register Rewards than the other cashiers. If there is no cashier there, just ask some call one for you.
- If you have multiple orders and there is someone in line behind you with only one, let them go ahead of you. I once took turns with another customer that had multiple orders.
